The 2011 Infiniti QX is well on its way as these new spy pictures make the case. Weirdly the images show a very close resemblance to the next-generation Nissan Patrol (called the Safari in some markets). Apart from different front and rear ends as well as wheel arches, the two could very well be the same vehicle. Some observers have noted that the design is adapted from the Terranaut Concept car presented at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show while others recognize vehicles like the Ford Flex and Kia Soul.

Power is likely to be sourced from the Infiniti FX50′s 5.0-litre V8 which has 287kW (390hp). Critics have said since the current QX56 is based on the highly capable Nissan Titan, its ride comfort is not up to par with competitors like the Lexus LX. Therefore some improvements are expected on that front.
